Shaped to compliment the style and feel of this guest house, the rimflow or “infinity “ look is well suited to the site with its spectacular panoramic views. The character Camps Bay beach with the Atlantic Ocean in the background is framed by the Twelve Apostles to the left and Lions Head to the right. To maintain the light and airy atmosphere the pool was white plastered and trimmed with white tiles, giving the effect of light – blue water. As with many multi level homes built on view sites around the Cape Peninsula’s dramatic mountain slopes, the pool is set into the lower deck area finished in light beige. To get the pool to the correct level the pool was built on top of six concrete pylons and tied into the deck structure under the supervision of the pool builder’s structural engineer. The long pool is ideal for swimmers, with steps at both ends for easy access. After a long day on the beach a seat along the full length of the pool provides guest with a grandstand seat to sip their martini’s and watch as the languid Cape summer sun dips into the shimmering blue Atlantic! This pool received a GOLD award by the NSPI
