This pool was Suburban Pool's first National Pool of the Year Award winner, in 1988, awarded by the National Spa and Pool Institute. The 40 sq. m pool featured a rimflow, flower box / step configuration, and tiling that started a new trend in pool design.

It also won the NSPI Regional Pool of the Year Award (Western Cape) and Gold Medal Award in its class.
